Invitation
Dear colleagues and esteemed students, first of all, WELCOME to the website of our congress…
The "4th International Dental Oral Infections (DOINF4) and 3rd Oral Microbiota Congress" will be held at Sakarya University Faculty of Law, Sabahattin Zaim Conference Hall between February 21-23, 2025.
The "4th International Dental Oral Infections (DOINF4) and 3rd Oral Microbiota Congress" is designed to contribute to the rational use of antibiotics in dental oral infections observed in dentistry, to highlight the importance of oral microbiota and its relationship with clinical diseases, to draw attention to its significance in public health, and to encourage studies in this field. However, the subject of artificial intelligence, which has recently dominated every field, will also be discussed in detail at our congress. Especially topics such as reducing and controlling dental infections, determining the effectiveness of sterilization, etc., will be discussed in depth. The motto of our congress will be "DENTAL INFECTIONS AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE" and "FUNCTIONAL ORAL MICROBIOTA."
This congress, the 4th International Dental Oral Infections and 3rd Oral Microbiota Congress, is the continuation of the 1st (2018), 2nd (2022), and 3rd (2023) International Dental Oral Infections Congresses. In this meeting, the topics of dental infections, rational antibiotic use, and oral microbiota will be thoroughly discussed, with artificial intelligence being a central focus. Additionally, the panels of the congress will provide information on dental oral infections, the use of disinfectants/mouthwashes, and antibiotics. The knowledge accumulated through lectures, speeches, and oral presentations by our expert professors will contribute significantly to public health.
In terms of content, the congress will cover various topics presented by expert academicians, including oral ecology and biodiversity, oral cavity microbiota, a reminder of potential pathogenic microorganisms, the formation of caries, and various types of dental infections enriched with visuals. Discussions will continue with rational antibiotic use, effective sterilization/disinfection methods in dental practice, dental hygiene, and mouthwashes, delving deeply into oral microbiota. The congress panels will focus on dental oral infections, caries and periodontal infections, disinfectant/mouthwash effectiveness, antibiotic use strategies in dental infections, periodontal regeneration and inflammation, Periodontal Inflamed Surface Area (PISA) in periodontal practice, implant treatment in periodontitis patients (scientific evidence and clinical recommendations), the relationship between oral health and general health in terms of the microbiome, personalized treatments in dentistry, failures in periodontal treatment and possible causes, a practical guide for early diagnosis of dental caries, sustainable minimally invasive workflow, implant failures and lessons learned from complications, the role of social media in dentistry, regenerative endodontics, focal infections, a periodontal approach for general health and holistic well-being, emergency management in endodontics, interventional radiology in dentistry, current perspectives in aesthetic dentistry, AI and augmented reality in treatment planning (examples in implants and orthodontics), peri-implantitis, dental implants (comprehensive approach for elderly patients), and protection of alveolar ridge reconstruction from biofilm effects.
The congress will serve as a discussion and information platform for all interns, assistant physicians, and dentists working in both public and private sectors. The importance of sterilization and hygiene in dental applications has become even more critical in global pandemics. During the COVID-19 pandemic, cross-infections in dental practices gained great significance, and the use of personal protective equipment and disinfection principles became essential. The Monkeypox (Mpox) virus disease is also closely related to dental applications.
Various Current Courses Will Be Available
On the last day of the congress, several workshops and current courses will be conducted by expert professors. These include: Implant applications from planning to maintenance and complication management, Shaping of root canals and warm vertical condensation, AI-supported smile design (Dental photography and workflow), Hypothesis formation, sequencing, bioinformatics analysis, and reporting in microbiota studies, Diagnosis and treatment of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) diseases (USG-assisted training), Academic writing with generative artificial intelligence: Fast and effective content creation, Basic clinical applications of soft and hard tissue using blood products, A new era in endodontics: Rising, Emergencies that may occur in clinics and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Dental surgical applications and suturing techniques
An International Congress
The 4th International Dental Oral Infections (DOINF4) and 3rd Oral Microbiota Congress, featuring valuable topics and speakers, meets the criteria for associate professorship applications. The symposium presentation languages will be Turkish and English. All submitted abstracts and full-text papers will undergo plagiarism screening and a peer review process. Papers that pass the double-blind peer review process will be published electronically with an ISBN number as a supplement to an internationally indexed journal.
TÜBİTAK Support Will Be Requested
A TÜBİTAK 2223B Domestic Scientific Event Organization Support Program application has been submitted for our congress.
Scientific Paper Competition for Dentistry Students
Dentistry students can also participate in the congress with scientific papers, which will be evaluated by an independent jury. The top-ranking students will be awarded various prizes. Therefore, we expect you to help spread the word about our congress to students.
We would like you to know that we are honored by your participation in the 4th International Dental Oral Infections (DOINF4) and 3rd Oral Microbiota Congress with your valuable contributions. We sincerely hope for a productive and successful congress and that the accumulated knowledge will benefit public health and humanity.
Best regards,
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Altındiş
